Carolyn Levy Gilliam is a graduate from the University of Tennessee College of Law. Her practice primarily focuses on the areas of estate planning, including wills, trusts, and elder law; probate, domestic relations, business litigation, and social security disability. Mrs. Gilliam has worked at McDonald, Levy and Taylor since her senior year at Farragut High School. She received her Bachelors in Business Administration with a concentration in Financial Management from Mercer University.

Mrs. Gilliam and her husband Eric reside in Knox County with their two children. Mrs. Gilliam is an avid golfer, and her talents landed her a spot on the Division I golf team at Mercer University. In addition to her work with the Legacy Housing Foundation, she is a board member and co-treasurer of the Dream Connection, Inc., serving children in East Tennessee suffering from life-threatening or chronically debilitating illnesses with a “once-in-a-lifetime dream come true.”
