Carey is the Chief Executive Officer and Firm Council Chairperson for LHP Capital, a firm who develops and manages multi-family housing properties with a primary emphasis on affordable housing. Since 1998, LHP has developed approximately 13,000 apartment units in close to 100 properties. She earned a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville and her MBA from the University of Tennessee, Chattanooga.

Carey participates in Leadership Knoxville and is a member of the University of Tennessee’s Haslam College of Business Department of Management Advisory Board. She is a member of the Executive Women’s Association, participates on the United Way of Greater Knoxville Operations Committee, is a graduate of the 2017 class of Introduction Knoxville, and was previously named as one of the Greater Knoxville Business Journal’s 40 Under 40 honorees.
